PRESENT/MEMORY EXHIBITION

Queen Victoria Women’s Centre
16 February - 12 March 2022

This exhibition features banners created in response to the archive of collected conversations that formed the basis for the research of this project. Each banner features a different contributor and a quote from their interview/conversation. Drawing on political aesthetics of screen printing and political banner making, the works aim to recognise and highlight the ways that entrenched structural disadvantages faced by women and gender diverse people have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
